The technology in low level laser therapy has progressed immensely. The laser light from our Olympic Physiolaser is much stronger than previous devices but still does not generate heat and is referred to as cold laser. Some laser devices have the ability to penetrate tissue as much as three to five centimeters. Since acquiring our machine two years ago, our registered physiotherapists have been effectively treating neck pain , back pain, arthritic joints and many other soft tissue injuries.
Laser treatment can also deactivate trigger points and successfully treat myofascial pain. Recently a client with long standing muscle pain who had tried all forms of treatment with little success scheduled an appointment with Clifton Charie. Using a simple laser treatment her condition improved rapidly and she has now returned to activities that she was not able to do for years, including a home program of exercise.
